THIRTY ONE

The middle of this month, August 15th, was my thirty-first birthday. Each year, on or around that day, I have my wife, Rebekah, take my portrait. I enjoy this tradition because I get to look back over the changes each year. Hopefully, I can keep up the tradition well into my late years of life. This year my birthday was celebrated in our little city at a local pub called Rogue Brewery. This year and especially this summer have been filled with busyness. Yes, and filled in the ways that make me so excited for the fall. I really enjoy the summer but we seem to get lost in the busy/laziness summer creates in the NW. My photography work has been up and down with the times and I have been pursuing more work on the east coast where I have other contacts. However, my personal work has been very exciting and inspiring for me to create. I will be working very hard this year to grow and establish a new body of personal work that I would love to align with commercial jobs. Also this year I will be photographing all the content for a coffee book project called BARISTA TABLE. This has been a very large scale project that I needed to strip down and simplify in order to work on practically. On that note, I couldn't be more thankful for everything in my life, for the new opportunities ahead, for the new people I will meet and the challenges that await. Thank you to everyone for the support and following my work.
